Signs of Courage

The signs of courage,
For the brave
Is not the flag
That marks his grave.
Nor is it,
That he gave his life
For others in
A time of strife.
Nor in the words
That others speak
Of his life,
To inspire the weak.
But it is
As with all men,
The fears he faces
From within.
